During the pandemic, Ms Kung—the creative force behind these genius tote bags—was having a difficult time selling the bags. No tourists and lockdowns meant no business! So, we set up the Tikkiwallah portal to help her!  Ms Kung sources colorful remnant fabric – the brighter, the better – and adds running stitch all over. It’s neither kantha nor sashiko technically, but it does resemble both. Roomy, lined and made with a small interior pocket. Don’t think too hard about matching; these bags are meant to go with everything! And, they do! Entirely handmade.
