Description
100% hand spun and handwoven hemp crafted into handsome pillow covers. Our hemp is sourced from Hmong communities in Laos’ Houaphan Province. Hemp is typically woven on a back strap loom. After weaving, the hemp fabric is polished with a stone, which softens the fibers and gives it a natural water resistant quality. Hmong artisans draw patterns using hot candle wax and a resist dye batik process. The broad lines symbolize rice and row crops. Insert not included.
